Dr. (Major) Rajesh Bhardwaj has to his credit a large series of successfully performed ENT surgeries for the International Patient - from many countries, including the complicated Cochlear Implant surgery, the intricate Rhinoplasty facial corrective surgery, advanced Endoscopic Sinus surgeries, etc.He has performed a large number of Ear Nose Throat and Head and Neck Surgeries in the Army as well as after his release from service. He performs on an average 2 to 3 ENT procedures/ surgeries in a day. He has been actively involved with activities of the ENT Association and has been an office bearer with the National as well as the local Delhi Branch for many years including being the President of the Delhi Branch of ENT Specialists in 2004-2005. He is also actively involved with the Delhi Medical Association, South Delhi Branch.He has been giving presentations in the field of ENT at a National level, including charing of sessions as well as attending Conferences and surgical workshops on a regular basis. He holds regular medical conferences at his Centre which are very well attended by the general doctors in the area as well as for ENT Specialists.Dr Bhardwaj was the health consultant with leading TV channel 'Aaj Tak' from 2002 to 2005 where he was responsible for the health programme 'Sabse Fit'. The programme was on the top 10 of the segment for a long time. He was then the health consultant with the TV channel 'Star News' for the programme 'Apna Khyal Rakhiyega'. He is presently the health consultant with UNITV and produces programmes with medical content.He was a member of the Pilot Project established by the Government of India for setting up a National Programme for the Prevention of Deafness. He chaired a session organized by the Occupational Health Department on the hazards of Industrial Noise Pollution.Dr Bhardwaj jointly runs ENTITY Welfare and Education Society, a charitable organization which holds free camps in the nearby JJ clusters, with Residents Welfare Associations and other agencies. He also attends as ENT Specialist at a charitable Organization, Chikitsa, in R K Puram.An adventure enthusiast, avid traveller, health and travel blogger, Dr Bhardwaj was a member of the Mountaineering Expedition to the Nanda Devi Mountains, where he performed his allotted task of reaching Camp iii, at a height of 22,000 feet!
1982-1990:Dr. (Major) Rajesh Bhardwaj joined the Army in 1982 and served as a Medical Officer in various locations as well as at Siachen Glacier (1984, where he was the first medical officer to complete his full tour of duty) and at Jaffna, Sri Lanka as a member of the IPKF (1988, where he single handedly managed the battle casualty ward, triaging and treating up to 70 to 80 casualties in one day. He was recommended for the VSM - Vashisht Sewa Medal for his efforts).1990-1993:From 1990 to 1993 he was posted as ENT Specialist at Command Hospital, Chandigarh, a 600-bedded key medical establishment of the Army. 1993-1997:In recognition of his good work he was shifted to the Army Hospital (Referral and Research Hospital), Delhi, the premier hospital of the Indian Armed Forces. He served here till 1997 and took voluntary discharge from the Army. At the time of release he was a recognized Post-Graduate teacher in ENT for the Delhi University.For recognition of his good services he was awarded the 'Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card' in 1993.1997- Till Date:Dr Bhardwaj has been attached with some of the prestigious hospitals of South Delhi as well as running his own Centre. His company, MedFirst Healthcare Private Limited, apart from looking after the stand alone Centre of Excellence in ENT at Vasant Vihar, also runs Out Reach Clinics in the Delhi National Capital Region at Dwarka as well as Bhikaiji Cama Place, where a dedicated team of ENT professionals cater to the ENT problems of the dependant community.CURRENTLY:He is currently the Chief of ENT Services and Cochlear Implant programme at the Columbia Asia group of Hospitals. Formerly he was Head of ENT at the Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon.
